So, I never set out to write a lesbian zombie book. I'm currently working on a few projects, with my primary being Ragged, as its release date is set for the end of August. But--unexpectedly, and a little sadly, I hit a block with Ragged. I still love it. I occasionally want to drop it off in the middle of the country and drive away while it flutters its little fairy wings angrily at me in the rearview window--but for the MOST PART, I still love it. XD And, hopefully this weekend, it will turn around, and I can unblock myself on it again. Oh, writing, HOW YOU ARE NEVER DULL.

Jenn and I walk every night beneath the stars, hand in hand, with fireflies as our guides...it's romantic and happy and sparkle-filled time, and I love it more than life itself. Often, we talk about our current projects, and--somehow--it always turns back to books. Fancy that. XDDDD I was bemoaning the fact that Jenn will never like anything with zombies in it EVER (I LOVE ZOMBIE THINGS, and she sadly DOES NOT. SERIOUSLY. IT IS VERY SAD.), and she turned to me with a big smile and said: "Well. I would if you wrote it."

I stared at her, mouth open, then got this eeeeeeeeevil little grin, and mischief was most certainly managed~

I immediately began to set about creating the most magical, Jenn-will-totally-love-this story with a zombie in it I could think of. So, yes, that's the only reason this novella was created--because I thought and hoped Jenn would love it~ <3 <3 <3

Its release date is HOPEFULLY July 26th~ And I cheated. Though one of the main characters is TECHNICALLY a zombie, it's not really about that.

(And yes--Jenn totally loves it~ <33333333333333333)

Mana never thought it was wrong to steal back souls. As a Runner, it's her job to snatch the dead out of After, and their dubious future provided by a machine simply known as the "Recycler." Through magic and will, she joins the stolen souls to their dead bodies and brings them back to their new "lives" as Reanima...until they wear down, decompose, die again. It's not terrible: it's business. Until she meets Far.

Far has been waiting her entire life to die. The nameless city is a nightmare world, and there is no way out unless it's through the Recycler. Far has treasonous questions about her existence, and though Mana loves Far with all of her heart, love is not enough to save her.

When Far dies, Mana goes against her wishes and steals back her lover's soul, losing her own in the process. Now a Reanima, and alone, Far must decide what's more important: truth, freedom, or the love of her death.

In a broken city, Far sets off to find the soul of a woman who loved her more than eternity.

MY FAVORITE REACTION TO THIS BOOK BY FAR (hah, totally not a pun XDDDD) is from Mike: "Do you poop books?!" My answer: "I DO. AND ALSO RAINBOWS, BUT THAT LAST ONE IS A SECRET."
