Whether by writing, jewelry making or my day job, I make my living with my hands. I treat them as well as I possibly can, I take care of them...but, when it comes to hooping, there's only so much you can do to help them. When hand hooping, your hands WILL get bruised, and repeatedly, as your body builds up resistance and dexterity with the hoops. This also happens with hips, but whoop-de-doo, I don't use them to write novels. XDDDD (So...many...jokes...must...stop...)

Yesterday, I figured out a trick I've had a little bit of a mental block on, so I hooped with my hands MUCH longer than I should have. I'd also made a bigger hoop earlier in the day, and bigger equals heavier, and I was using that with my hands...my hands have been bruised, every day, since I started hooping, but nothing too crazy. A little swollen, a little discolored. Today, there's a massive bruise on my right hand, and it hurts. I'm actually nauseated from the pain. I've had a meeting already this morning, and one of my friends joked that I looked a little pained during it...I actually was.

I'm pretty good with dealing with pain, but this is such a "fun," "happy" level that I haven't experienced in awhile. Using the mouse and typing is excruciating. I tried to edit my novel this morning, as is my morning ritual, and I had to stop fifteen minutes into it because I just couldn't concentrate.

I NEVER take anything for pain...but I'm going to have to suck it up and pop ibuprofen today. :X *winces*

Dear Gods--PLEASE LET ME BUILD UP MORE RESISTANCE SOON, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

But I have pretty pictures Jenn took before it all happened, so yay! XD

Double hand hooping.

I can let it slide down to my thighs and kick it up now with my hips! :D THIS IS PROGRESS.
