So, I'm sure you all remember that
in October of last year, my amazing and wonderful wife, Jenn, quit her corporate job where she'd been berated, ridiculed and made to endure bullshit every single day for five years (no, I'm not still angry she had to endure such stupidity and pissed off at those people, whyever would you ask? :D :D :D).
She. Was.
Free. For the first month or so of her new found freedom, Jenn worked on Glamourkin, spent time with our animal behbehs, and just generally enjoyed her life--something she'd been completely unable to do up until this point. She transformed completely--this coming from the person who knows her best--and her vibrancy grew until it almost outshone the stars. She figured out what she wanted to do with her life, right now, right this very minute, and began to make steps toward that.
Jenn's greatest dream was two-fold: one was to be a writer, the other was to work with flowers. She's burned out on the writing gig, and we thought and thought about the flower thing, while every day for years, I've worn the incredible flowers she's made me in my hair.
"I could do that," she said with a sparkle, with a glow, with a joy. "I could hand make flowers."
So she did.
Every day since, for the past two months, Jenn has gotten up bright and early in the morning, and worked on her blossoming (every pun intended) Etsy shop. After several snags earlier in the week, it finally opened today--the grand opening of my beautiful baby's heartfelt, heartsung venture:
Garden of Antheia~
Antheia was a grace of flowers, a smaller known aspect of Aphrodite, Jenn's matron Goddess.
I know I'm biased, and you can take this for a grain of salt, or a bushel of it--but every single day, I wear one of Jenn's floral adornments in my hair. Every day, I have people stop me while I walk, or in the grocery store, or randomly with a smile, and ask me where I got such a beautiful flower--and I tell them. Each flower means something different, has a different energy to it, is a magical, precious, spellbound thing, and I love each one with every bit of my being. Also, every single petal--unless otherwise noted--is hand made, hand sewn, hand singed. Rare, beautiful creatures~ <3
When Jenn makes something, she puts her entire heart into it. This is a free heart, and a heart filled with love. She's put everything she has into the opening of this Etsy shop, and it shows. I have never been prouder of her, and I am thankful and acknowledge my blessings every single day that I am her wife. She is an incredible person, a goddess incarnate, and she is doing amazing and precious things with her life. I love her. I'm so proud of her, I could burst.
So, today, please consider visiting the
Garden of Antheia, looking through the beautiful blossoms, please consider spreading the word or supporting such a love-filled endeavor...here, you will see magic, made. <3 <3 <3
