...but I'm just too gosh-darn excited to not talk about it right this very minute, so even though my eyes are ACTUALLY BLINKING SLOWLY I AM SO SLEEPY (I feel like such a cartoon right now), I wanted to mention that I've written ALL DAY, and I'm SO CLOSE to being finished with SO MANY THINGS. I feel like I'm multiply pregnant, and will be giving birth multiple times over the next few days. :P AH, METAPHORS.

Love Devours: Tales of Monstrous Adoration is so close to being done. I finished-finished-finished the short story "Seek" today (you can see its cover and a bit about it on my Tumblr!). "Seek" was the first story I came up with for the anthology, and I'm very, very pleased with it. :) IT IS VERY DARK AND WEIRD, and it came out exactly as I'd wanted it, too, after a LOT of wrangling, and a lot of bleary tearing-out-hair-and-staring-at-the-computer-screen. :P That leaves three other short stories to get all polished up and ready, "Our Lady of Wolves," "We Grow Accustomed to the Dark" and "The Forever Star." AND THEN IT IS FINISHED! *confetti*

I am SO close to being done with The Bone Girl, I'm all weepy I didn't get it done today (I'm shooting for Monday as an official THIS IS THE PARTYING AT THE END OF IT day). Also, I'm coming along with One Beltane Morning (the second book in the Benevolence Tales series, the first being One Solstice Night), I should hopefully be done with that at the end of this week, and Jenn and I are underway on Alight, the sort-of-but-not-really-but-it-is-set-in-the-same-world-sequel to The Dark Wife. *breathes out* And that's the stuff I've been working on these past few days, ladies and gentlefae--there are so many other projects going right now, but those are my primary focuses. I am SO excited to be able to finish The Bone Girl and get Love Devours out, and I do NOT LIKE TO PROMISE THINGS, but I MAY mention Ragged and "been working on it" in the same sentence.

This is shaping up to be a very, very book-full summer. <3

And now, I am getting unable to string coherent sentences together, I am so VERY TIRED. So, to sleep! Perchance to dream! For in that sleep of a queer-lady, what dreams may come will be lesbian-fairy-tale filled and sparkly.

Good night. <3

As a writer, I always have to be open and listening to the story, my intuition and my fans. Out of every single one of the novels/novellas I've written, One Solstice Night is the most vocal favorite among readers--this means that while The Dark Wife sells a lot more than it, when people read One Solstice Night, they usually vocalize how much they enjoyed it to me, which is just such a pleasant surprise, each time I get an email or tweet--people love Isabella and Emily, and have been clamoring for the sequels I hinted at.

I have many, many ideas for further adventures and stories for them...so last night, when I came home and spoke with Jenn about the conundrum of the covers, and SHE didn't have a clear favorite either (and while there was a clear favorite among those of you who answered, it was only by a LITTLE that it was favored and everyone STRONGLY LIKED THE ONE THEY LIKED), I threw up my hands and declared THAT IS IT. WE SHALL USE BOTH OF THEM, and I shall ADD ANOTHER STORY because I've been wanting to add one more story before the wedding ANYWAY. And, right there and then, Jenn and I swung a portion of the story AFTER the wedding (WHICH MADE NO SENSE TO BE AFTER A WEDDING, I love when I do things like this to myself :P) to BEFORE, and you have WHAT FOLLOWS HERE--books two AND three of the Benevolence Tales. <3

I feel so effing good about it all--it finally feels right, and less cramped in the saga having everything shifted, and I'm so appreciative to everyone who gave their input and told me how excited they are about the sequels! :) <3 (And, forever, forever, FOREVER grateful for Jenn. <333333333)

AND, Jenn and I finally finished writing the description for One Beltane Morning last night--which I have also placed below. <3

Book TWO:

Isabella Fox, not-so-great witch for hire, may be terrible at spells but lucky in love. Bewitched last Solstice by the beautiful shapeshifter, Emily, Isabella is determined to turn over a new leaf: no more mediocrity. Her spells will actually work from now on--or so she hopes.

As Beltane, the annual May Day celebration, fast approaches, the sleepy town of Benevolence begins to come alive with magic, mirth, and revelry, culminating in a visit from a host of faeries and their queen. Which would be positively charming, save for the oft-overlooked fact that most faeries have only one thing in mind: mischief.

When the faeries' merrymaking turns malevolent, Isabella finds herself in over her head. Can one mediocre witch keep Benevolence from harm, or will a simple misunderstanding destroy the town she's come to love?

The novella "One Beltane Morning" is a magical lesbian love story, and the second in THE BENEVOLENCE TALES series.

Book THREE:

Description coming soon. IT INVOLVES THE FAERIE QUEEN. <3
